Quinoa’s cool and tastes awesome. An ancient grain, quinoa originated in the Peruvian Andes Mountains 5,000 to 7,000 years ago.
Sounds sort of like cacao, doesn’t it? Cacao originated in roughly the same area at roughly the same time. We married the two into an incredibly fudgy gluten-free nut-free (usually) Ancient Grains Zen Brownie. This week’s batch is topped with bubbly caramelized maple syrup from Maple Ridge Farm in Loudon, New Hampshire.
