Red Bean, Fresh Mint, Kinako, Wasabi

MOCHI WITH CHOCOLATE – koshi-an (Japanese red bean) and fresh mint dark chocolate ganache dusted with kinako and powdered wasabi (both lovingly carried back from Kyoto). (Contains SOY).

We walk from Arashiyama station 
past the green tea ice cream stand and
turn to the right eyes captured by
tiny shops of dango and mochi and
more ice cream and sellers renting
kimono to the nostalgic (weekends
are for Kyoto-ites escaping the city, 
tourists fill other streets on
other days) and we taste everything
with our eyes and tongues and the
day is just another adventure of
another day.

Not happy with how this poem ended.
Customers came and my thoughts
were suspended.
