The sitting portion of our room in Bishamon House. The house is about 140 years old and a very beautiful place to stay. Christian, our host drove us to historic Miyama Village for few hours, flowers, straw roofs. He also helped me arrange a morning forging a knife with one of Japan’s only 300 certified swordsmiths.
A warn summer, but the nights are cool.
The new-harvest rice is fragrant and sweet.
The old house welcomes the morning breeze.
I sigh and turn for Kyoto.
