It’s cold outside.
A bowl of green tea
sparkles in emerald frothiness;
warms my palms.
We’re going to be on NHPR.
Charming articulate Virginia Prescott,
the host of the Word of Mouth on
New Hampshire Public Radio followed
me around the shop, microphone in hand
asking questions.
I talked, of course. which I’m always happy to do
(and am told I do at great length and with many gestures).
I also made many bonbons; we *are* a chocolate shop!
It’s good that I’ve finished my tea;
it would be cold with all the writing.
It’s time to shut down and scrub down
the beverage service, and by then
it will be time to put away the chocolates
and prepare for tomorrow.
