H3O & Local, Award-Winning Connoisseurs Host Tastings of Fine Cheese, Chocolate, Wine and Coffee To Benefit Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter

Nashua, N.H. – Ladies grab your party pants or favorite cocktail dress for Tastings, an evening of elegance and gourmet samplings of fine cheese, chocolate, wine and coffee – all handpicked by local, award-winning connoisseurs. Tastings, sponsored by local women’s group H3O, will be held on Wednesday, October 5 from 7 to 9p.m. at the newly renovated Holiday Inn – Nashua located on Northeastern Boulevard. Tastings is sponsored by the local women’s group H3O, which seeks to connect women through monthly social gatherings and support community outreach efforts.

Tickets are $15 and all proceeds benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter (NSKS), a local non-profit agency that started in 1981 and today operates two homeless shelters, serves 1,700 meals a week and provides many other outreach services throughout the community. Carol Weeks, Director of NSKS, will speak about how the monies will benefit children, adults and seniors the organization serves seven days a week.

Presenting at the Tastings event are: Wine Diplomat Svetlana Yanushkevich, DWS, owner of WineNot Boutique; Master Chocolatier Richard Tango-Lowy, owner of Dancing Lion Chocolate; and Adam and Emeran Langmaid, owners of A&E Roastery.

These local epicures will demonstrate how to pair gourmet cheeses and chocolates with fine wines and coffees. Tastings, the first-of-its-kind event, allows attendees to personally taste and experience these delicious pairings and also question the culinary experts about their offerings.

WineNot Boutique was voted “The Best of the Best Wine Shop of NH 2011” by The Hippo Press. Yanushkevich, owner of WineNot, is a professionally trained Sommelier and received the highest degree, a Diploma, from the prestigious Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London.

Dancing Lion Chocolate, of Manchester, was voted NH Magazine Best of NH 2010 for Chocolate As Art. Owner and Master Chocolatier Richard Tango-Lowy is a graduate of Ecole Chocolat in Vancouver and the prestigious Ecole Du Grand Chocolat Valrhona in France’s Rhone Valley. He recently studied with top chocolatiers throughout Tuscany.

A&E Roastery, of Amherst, was voted NH Magazine Best of NH 2010 and the past four consecutive years. Owners Adam and Emeran Langmaid started roasting coffee in their home during the 1990s. What started as a hobby more than 10 years ago has become a bustling business.

Tastings, sponsored by H30, a women’s ministry that welcomes women of all ages and faith, will be held at the Holiday Inn – Nashua, located at 9 Northeastern Blvd. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door, however prior registration is required.
