Hunting rare cacao

May 22, 2018 by Richard Tango-Lowy

Hunting cacao with farmer Jose Martinez Cruzado of Hacienda Aceitunas. An hour of machete work and scrambling led us to this unusual purple Ancient Criollo cacao on a section of land he hadn't traveled to since before the storm. These pods are from some *very old* trees.#chocolatier #puertorico #cacaofarm #cacao #ancientcriollo
