From its beginning, Dancing Lion Chocolate has endeavored to dissolve boundaries, bring people together, and act with the greatest possible Integrity. As an American business based in New Hampshire, one of the 13 colonies that put it’s name to the Declaration of Independence, I believe it would be irresponsible to remain silent in light of the flaunting of these most Fundamental Principles. From the Declaration:
He has kept among us, in times of peace, STANDING ARMIES without the Consent of our legislatures — He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power — For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for PRETENDED OFFENCES — For depriving us of the benefits of TRIAL BY JURY — He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance — He has obstructed the ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE — He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone — He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for NATURALIZATION OF FOREIGNERS — For cutting off our TRADE WITH ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD — He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected — For taking away our Charters, ABOLISHING OUR MOST VALUABLE LAWS, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments — For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever — He has excited DOMESTIC INSURRECTIONS amongst us
THE CURRENT AMERICAN ADMINISTRATION does not represent The United States of America; is not The United States of America. While the Founders of the Country were not perfect, they meant for people to live Freely, Happily, and Well, and most looked to an eventual future when All Humans lived Freely, Happily, and Well.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The actions of the Current American Administration mock these fundamental Rights and replicate nearly every Offense that the United States Congress presented to the British King in 1776.
