Valrhona Nyangbo 68%

October 2009 Cacao Connoisseur’s Club Tasting Notes

Soft and creamy with notes  of caramel
and spiced black cherries.

Dark as night, bittersweet as Ghana,
the land from which comes
one of Africa’s truly great chocolates.

I encountered Nyangbo
at L’Ecole du Grande Chocolat Valrhona,
Valrhona’s school in the South of France.
Love at first smell, first taste;
I purchased the first case to reach our shores.

This chocolate is worthy of a noble people;
the Nyangbo of Ghana are a noble people
and their cacao makes a noble chocolate.
