Sitting at my desk eating berries so ripe one then another not stopping for more than a breath, not sweet fragrance punching through the roof of my mouth howling into my cortex “hey I’m a strawberry and you’d best notice I’m here.” Last week I dipped strawberries in honey and dried them for days and broke them in pieces and yesterday I tossed them with cacao nibs and chocolate and now I have bars with a strawberry howl.
