NH Open Doors, Reprise

The NH Open Doors show was a success. Even in far-off Deerfield a steady stream of visitors wandered through to enjoy my chocolate, tour the Wild Orchard Farm guesthouse, and sample Holiday Cape Cod Cranberry muffins and House on the Hill nuts.
Coy Beauty. Tender fall pear. Saffron threads, vanilla bean, sliver of lemon peel, slice of ginger. Green burnished square of 72% Venezuelan cacao.Trio. Truffles of 100% cacao from the Terreiro Velho plantation of Sao Tome & Principe finished three ways: Precious jade matcha tea, chili with Indonesian cinnamon, and fragrant Chinese five-spice.

Pepito. Wedge of pumpkin-infused ganache topped with pumpkin-seed praline and hand-dipped in dark Venezuelan chocolate.

NH Open Doors
Afternoons were sunny, the guesthouse kitchen was warm, smelling of cranberries and hot chocolate (made with fruity Madagascar chocolate, no less!), and the company was excellent. A fine way to spend a weekend.
