Mornings

EVERY MORNING begins the same way. Arrange flowers for the tables. Feed The Beast (our bread and croissant starter. On Wednesdays The Beast is fed twice). Sweep the front. Put out the sign and tables. Put away dishes and laundry. Open the shop.Time for a bowl of drinking chocolate and perhaps a fresh peach. From here out each day is an adventure. Now that we're making our own chocolate from beans, Tuesdays I roast, Wednesdays I crack, winnow,  and start the grind.
