We came looking for cacao, but we keep finding bananas. Many bananas.
Tiny, sweet bananas. Thick, stubby bananas. Fried bananas for breakfast, wild bananas for lunch of at least three different kinds, and no suprise, carmalized bananas for dessert. Complete with a melted chocolate topping.
An abundance of bananas, but an overall abunance of fruit. Pomellos, coconut, passion fruit, corazon, heliconia, even bagonia (ok not a fruit, but edible).
And finally cacao. Criollo cacao. Now, off to Mayaguez to find more…Sophia
