Because Chocolate Saves the World

Thank you to all of our Shindig! participants! Together, we donated $420 to Heirloom Cacao Preservation to help chocolate save the world.

Thank you @dancinglionchocolate for bringing me into a new perspective on chocolate, to see it as an art form, from the soil, to the science, to the rarity, to the poetry reading, and history of it… ~Jasmine

An illuminating evening! This year we’re highlighting ‘Chocolate Saves the World‘ as part of Heirloom Cacao Preservation. How? Why? What is Heirloom Cacao? The first of four Shindigs culminating in our Chocolate Saves the World Winter Gallery Art Show at year’s end, which we’ll host at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Gallery, with assistance from Positive Street Art.

Heirloom Cacao is an ancestral or traditional cacao varietal propagated on farms
or found in wild or semi-wild conditions that exhibit exceptionally complex, balanced,
and unique flavor profiles.

Each year is a surprise, and watching the Dancing Lion Chocolate family grow and change is a wild ride. We look forward to sharing these spaces and the stories with more of you, and we especially look forward to upcoming Shindigs! in new spaces throughout New Hampshire.

The Mission of HCP is to discover, identify and preserve fine flavor Heirloom cacao varieties for the conservation of biological diversity and the empowerment of farming communities.
