Valentine’s is for lovers. Valentine’s is also for chocolatiers. While I strive to make each of my creations beautiful and artful, the chocolates I have crafted this month will represent you to your beloved; an obligation I do not take lightly.

Lovely Ophelia, essence of roses and fragrant white tea
with safflowers, chocolate from Ghana. Simple, fresh, complex,
dark as life and love.
Tango, most sensual of dances.
Tangerine enfolded with silky Madagascar cacao
slinking along the tongue, an emboldened lover.
Eve’s Apple, wife, lover, mother.
Cider from the child’s child of the first apple
mingled with the sweet lifeblood of maple.
Chocolate from Venezuela, milk and dark.
A bar of milk chocolate, food of the Mother,
A bar of dark chocolate, food of the Gods.

Lemon, tartness from which love grows true.
Ginger, the healer; warm and comforting.
Honey, sweetness natural as life.
Bound together with fine dark chocolate.
