We’re bringing the act of creating art into the community, and people will be able to see and even participate in its creation.
Each Thursday this Summer, Dancing Lion Chocolate will host a local artist outside the shop.
Demonstrations–often interactive–of cartooning, drawing, painting, clay sculpting, poetry and more, our philosophy of “Chocolate as Art.”
Artists scheduled so far include
- August 14th, 4:30-6:30PM — CANCELED Kids make chocolate (clay) bonbons with artist Kerry Harman.
- August 28th, 4:30-6:30PM — Painting on Silk with Ellen Davison
- September 25th, 4:30-6:30PM — Making pottery with sculptor Monica Leap of Studio 550.
More events are in the works, and smaller sessions will be scheduled for during the day.
Get out of the rut… see everyday life for what it is–an opportunity to create Life as Art!
Local artists are encouraged to contact Dancing Lion Chocolate about participating by calling 603.625.4043.

On the shop’s front sidewalk, pencils in hand,
Jerry sketched chocolate-themed pictures.
Folks joined him in passing; he taught them the trade–
On our window we made them all fixtures.
They’re no longer there; but you’ll soon be aware
That we put them online to enjoy and to stare!
And thank you to our guest artists…
